EURid participated in the third annual Universal Acceptance (UA) Day, reaffirming its commitment to fostering an inclusive, multilingual, and secure digital environment. As part of the UA Day 2025 regional event in Armenia, Regina Fuchsova, EURid’s Industry Relations Manager, contributed to the panel discussion “Best Practices in Universal Acceptance Achievement.”
The event, coordinated by the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) in collaboration with ICANN and local partners, brought together stakeholders from around the world to promote Universal Acceptance — the principle that all domain names and email addresses, regardless of script or language, should be equally accepted and function correctly online.
EURid’s participation highlighted its ongoing efforts to advance the adoption of Universal Acceptance standards across Europe and beyond. By supporting UA, EURid continues to strengthen the digital ecosystem, promote linguistic diversity, and ensure greater accessibility and security online.
The panel featured representatives from several organizations and countries, including:
Регистар националног интернет домена Србије (РНИДС) – represented by Dijana Milutinović
Maria Kolesnikova
Sami Mohamed Ali from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (.bh and Arabic IDN ccTLD البحرين.)
Palina Fedarova of hoster.by
Universal Acceptance is increasingly recognized as a cornerstone for creating a truly global and inclusive internet that reflects the world’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
